Paintings

Rasaan started painting when he got to Virginia Union University in the fall of 2014. He was inspired by artists he learned about such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Pablo Picasso, and Romare Bearden. He also became inspired by new artists he discovered from social media such as PaperFrank, Hebru Brantley, and Blue the Great. He soon realized how much he enjoyed abstract and mixed media art the most, although painting his style of cartoons on canvas is still a favorite of his.
